Keri Hilson’s anticipated debut album In A Perfect World will finally be released on March 24th. Above is the preview video for the Timbo & Polow produced ‘Make Love’ featuring Kanye West. The unusual refrain, does it use the chord from 4 None Blond’s 90’s hit ‘What’s Up’? A nice ballad anyway.

I also post her cover on Soulja Boy’s ‘Turn My Swag On’. It’s insane, just aware the shout outs.

Good news! Finally the time will come for that release. And oh btw if its the swedish word “refräng” youre looking for. its “chorus” in english and not “refrain” (=tillbakahållning.Keep up the good work though 8)

Refrain is actually a word for a “chorus” in older music. In fact if you read the page youll see this important fact that refrain is not the same as chorus in todays music “A pop chorus is not the same as a refrain. At least one well-known writer on pop-song-writing theory has stated this, for example, (Davis, 1990) says that a refrain musically and lyrically resolves a verse and therefore ends it, whereas a chorus begins a distinctively new music section of at least eight bars.”
    Peace and love yall!
And keep the hits comming :)

    Dave A:
I get this unimportant fact: according to a writer named Sheila Davis chorus is a more appropriate word to use in this context. I also see the fact that refrain is commonly used as a synonym for chorus, even when talking about modern music. But I’ll try to listen to Davis next time, I’ll use chorus instead of refrain.
