Charlie vs. Calvin
Charlie Wilsons second single ‘There Goes My Baby’ is written by Calvin Richardson and produced by Babyface. I’ve been in love with the song ever since I first heard it on Calvin Richardson’s unreleased album Unleashed from 2006. Can’t say Wilson outshines C-Rich though - on the contrary, Calvin’s version is slightly better. He should have kept it for himself and his When Love Comes album from last year.

I feel in love with this song the first time I heard Calvin Richardson perform it at Bahiya Cafe in Stamford, CT in 2006. I was riding in my car in Dec 2008 and thought Calvin had finally released the cut only to find it was Charlie Wilson. My heart is certainly connected to the CR version of the song and I listen to it on a regular basis. I truly wish Calvin had released it as there is such a sexiness to his version that Charlie Wilson doesn’t capture. It is truly an all-time song!!!!!
